Ephemerium Sneak Peek: Froot boss fight
Ephemerium: Unreality » Devlog
A little update; I've completed Froot's boss fight. This is a hidden encounter that you can unlock in the Redux version of Ephemerium by searching for hidden portals that appear once certain portions of the game are completed. Froot is the first enemy I've designed that has a grab attack, and the first encounter in the game to include more than 2 enemies at the same time. Also unlike all other enemies designed so far with the exception of Makuse, Froot is a specialized spellcaster who can outrange Mousey, so you'll be in for a good fight scrambling between her summons and her attacks.
During the development of this part of the game, thanks to game tester feedback, it came to my attention that the game's lock-on system was too basic for encounters that involve multiple enemies. Given that unlike all other designed encounters, Froot has 4 summons and has a large arsenal of ranged attacks at her disposal, it necessitated we rework how Lock-on was performed. If you have questions, suggestions, feedback or would like to help the project in ways other than donations, please let me know, I'll be happy to listen to what you have to tell and we can always use more testers to collect more accurate feedback about anything that gets added to the game.Get Ephemerium: Unreality

Yeah, twitter will be good, I can always can use more testers, especially with effects cause I'm not sure how other hardware will handle Unreal Engine's particle effects. It wasn't until like just a couple of months ago when I realized the game's uncapped frame rate was causing overheating in some GPUs so in this aspect, I always welcome help!
